Minister Inspects Transportation Regulation Compliance at Daruba Morotai Harbour

Jakarta, InfoPublik – Transportation Ministry’s Public Communication and Information Bureau stated that Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi, on Sunday (2/5) conducted inspection at Daruba Morotai Harbour.

The inspection target was discipline enforcement of transportation regulation for the traditional ships that carry passengers for tourism purposes. 

Transportation Ministry’s Public Communication and Information Bureau Chief of J.A. Barata, explained that Minister Budi warned a foreign tourist who was going to ride a speed boat without life jacket. The Minister directly asked the tourist to wear the jacket. 

Related to security aspect, Minister Budi asked every party to be discipline and to obey the rules. Related officers, operators, and the passengers must obey the rules.

Barata added that besides Morotai, Minister Budi would also inspect Banjarmasin and Palangkaraya on Sunday (5/2). 

Previously, on Friday (4/3), Minister Budi visited Ponorogo, Madiun, and Surabaya. Whereas on Saturday (5/3), he visited Ambon and Ternate. (Translator: Erik Limantara)
