Jakarta, InfoPublik – State Ministry of Cooperatives & SMEs granted awards to 100 best-performing cooperatives accross Indonesia, 10 of which were granted the Cooperative Award.
Cooperatives & SMEs Deputy Minister for institutionsl affairs Djamhari Choirul stated that the award winning cooperatives have gone through certain selection which is based on a number of requirements. "This award is aimed to encourage cooperatives to implement their principles properly, gain a secure and continuous growth, as well as become a new parameter for other cooperatives," he said, Friday (22/7).
The award was presented by Cooperatives & SMEs Minister Anak Agung Gede Ngurah Puspayoga who was accompanied by Jambi Governor Zumi Zola and the Indonesian Cooperative Board (Dekopin) chairman Zulkifli Nurdin Halid. The cooperatives passed the provincial stage selection were included in the national stage selection. There were 305 cooperatives nominated from 34 provinces. The award is granted based on the cooperatives’ business category.
Choirul added thatcooperaties winning the award included 15 saving and loans cooperatives, 38 consumer cooperatives, 4 marketing cooperatives, 12 producer cooperatives, and 12 service cooperatives. "The award winning cooperatives are well-performing cooperatives with highest score in respective cooperative group, especially in employment and education," said Choirul. (Translator: Sugiarti)
