Tangerang, InfoPublik – State airport operator PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) is immediately operating Soekarno-Hatta International Airport’s Terminal 3 Ultimate on June 20, 2016, after having final commissioning for Garuda Indonesia and operating permit from Transportation Ministry.
Angkasa Pura’s Head of Corporate Secretary & Legal Agus Haryadi said that the operation was still awaiting the commissioning result. "When the commissioning result and permit go as planned, dissemination will be conducted. Starting June 20, Garuda Indonesia will be able to operate at Terminal 3 Ultimate,” said Agus on Wednesday (6/8).
The operation of Terminal 3 Ultimate is in accordance with the expected target which is before this year’s Idul Fitri. Garuda's customers can enjoy their mudik (seasonal exodus of people) homecoming from the new terminal with all technological sophistication installed there.
Meanwhile, Agus continued thatother airline companies besides Garuda will remain operating in their respective terminal as usual. "In the last few days, the social media have circulating information about terminal shifts of non-Garuda airline companies operating at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.,” said Agus.
Previously, there is a rumor about flight operational services at Soekarno-Hatta that experience a number of changes along with the operation of Terminal 3 Ultimate on June 15, 2016.
The rumor said that based on the result of the flight changes preparation meeting, as from June 15, 2016, Garuda domestic and international flights, previously operated at Terminal 2E and 2F, will be moved to Terminal 3 Ultimate. On the same day, the Air Asia domestic and international flights, previously operated at Terminal 3 will be moved to Terminal 2E and 2F.
Next, starting fromJune 22, 2016, Lion Air flights (DPS, JOG, SRG, SOC), previously operated at Terminal 3, will be moved to Terminal 1B. On the same day, NAM Air and Sriwijaya Air will also move their operation which previously at Terminal 1B, to Terminal 2F.
Meahwhile, starting on January 2017, the airlines that move their operation terminal are Citilink and Batik Air, previously operating at Terminal 1C, are moving to Terminal 2D & E. Related to these series of changes in operational service, all the international flights, formerly at Terminal 2D & 2E, will be moved to Terminal 3 Ultimate.
