Jakarta, InfoPublik - Belgian investors expressed their interest in the new and renewable energy sector in Indonesia. It was conveyed at the welcoming reception for 301 Belgian delegates who visit Indonesia at Pullman Hotel, Jakarta.
Head of Investment Coordinating Agency (BKPM), Franky Sibarani, said that Princess Astrid, the sister of the King of Belgium, has exclusively asked BKPM to the investors since they have a little knowledge on the investment opportunities in Indonesia.
"This time, they also want to invest in renewable energy. Princess Astrid hopes BKPM would guide them in the regulation [aspect] and show the potential regions. As a response, I said BKPM is ready to serve," he said at the Pullman Hotel, Jakarta, Monday (3/14).
At this moment, Mr. Sibarani has not been able to elucidate the forms of cooperation. However, according to the plan, the delegation will offer 20 cooperation opportunities from the universities, private sector, and government to Indonesia.
The cooperation ranges various fields from tourism, technology to the development of maritime potential in Indonesia. (Translator: Sugiarti)
