Jakarta, InfoPublik – Indonesian Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded the Indonesian exports value in December 2015 reached US$11.89 billion or increased by 6.98 percent compared to November 2015.
Suryamin, the Head of BPS, stated that when compared to December 2014, the value has dropped by 17.66 percent. The total of Indonesian export from January to December 2015 reached US$ 150.25 billion US dollars, decreased by 9.77 percent compared to 2014.
"The decline occurred in all sectors of oil and gas in December 2015, and in industrial products—although the demand was high, the price was dropped," said Mr. Suryamin at his office in Jakarta, Friday (1/15).
The Agency also recorded an increase in non-oil commodity in December 2015 that reached US$10.59 billion, or increase by 14.62 percent. Export volume in commodities such as ores, crust, and metal ash to several countries also experienced an increase by US$378.8 million.
Meanwhile, export in non-oil industry from January to December 2015 fell 9.11 percent. Similarly, exports of mining products fell 14.99 percent and agricultural products 2.45 percent. "The largest export suppliers in the regions remain unchanged," he said. (Translator: Siti Chodijah)
