Jakarta, InfoPublik - Jakarta Governor Basuki Purnama Tjahaja received a courtesy call from Italian Ambassador to Indonesia, Vittorio Sandalli at Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday (3/29).
The visit was to discuss the possibility of cooperation between Jakarta city government and Italy in the field of sports, education and fashion.
Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama stated that one of forms of the cooperation that can be implemented is sending Jakarta youth to study sports, especially football to Italy.
"This is the visit of the new Italian ambassador to Indonesia. In the meeting, we discussed the possibility of cooperation with the city government," he said.
According to him, Jakarta city government will soon open Jakarta National Craft Board Co-Working Space at Melati reservoir for fashion week event. Italy may send their small and medium enterprises to carry out cooperation in fashion and design.
"We expect that this cooperation will produce designs and shared-markets," he said. (Siti Chodijah)
