Ubud, InfoPublik - The Minister of Tourism and the Creative Economy and Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, appreciated the CHSE-based health protocol (Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environment Sustainability) implementation at the Alas Harum tourist destination, Ubud.
During his visit to Alas Harum, Ubud, Gianyar Regency, Bali, Thursday (5/27), Sandiaga said that the tourist destination with restaurants and civet coffee production centers is implementing a strict and disciplined manner of the CHSE-based health protocol.
"COVID-19 forces us to continue to innovate. Earlier, I saw that Alas Harum arranged several additional services as a form of adaptation. I also appreciate the implementation of strict and disciplined health protocols here because we need to prepare ourselves to organize several big agendas in Bali," said Sandiaga.
Some of these agendas include preparations for the opening of the Travel Corridor Arrangement and the G20 Summit in 2022.
"We are sure that tourists will visit Alas Harum. So we need to arrange things and prepare ourselves," he said.
Sandiaga also appreciated Alam Harum's success in keeping 250 of the employees from lay off. "I thank the managers of Alas Harum for not laying off its 250 employees during the pandemic and economic difficulties," said Sandiaga.
According to the owner of Alas Harum, Made Ardhana, that was not easy to do. He explained that he implemented an alternating work system or work shift for its 250 employees.
"We have options of 12 working days and ten working days, according to their skills at work. We also provide things to do at home. We keep building their optimism to not give up on the situation. No matter how worse the situation is, we should be grateful," said Made Ardhana.
During this visit, Sandiaga was accompanied by the Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy/Main Secretary of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency, Ni Wayan Giri Adnyani; Director of National and International Events Kemenparekraf/Baparekraf, Dessy Ruhati; and the Head of the Communication Bureau of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy/Baparekraf, Vinsensius Jemadu.
