Jakarta, InfoPublik – Indonesia has no more representatives after its only hope Ihsan Maulana Mustofa was defeated by Lee Chong Wei, the second ace player, in the semi-final match.

In the match in Senayan, Saturday (6/4), Ihsan had difficulty to balance Chong Wei’s game, and lost with a final score of 9-21, 18-21. In the final round, Chong Wei will face the winner of the match between Tian Houwei and Jan O Jorgensen.

The game level difference between the two shuttlers was obvious. Ihsan had a hard time to penetrate Chong Wei’s defense, although his few blows managed to give some scores.

In the first game, Ihsan was able to keep up in the first four scores. But after that, Chong Wei speeded up and continued to lead.

Ihsan demonstrated a better resistance in the second game. Ihsan could keep a close score with Chong Wei, although lagging behind.

Chong Wei’s miss-observation made Ihsan led for the first time with score 16-15. Chong Wei evened the score to 17-17 after tackling Ihsan’s two blunders.

Ihsan’s two bad blows made Chong Wei get the match point with score 20-18. Ihsan’s resistance ended after the return blow was way too long from the field baseline. (Translator: Wilda Stiana)
