President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung departed Jakarta's Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Station for Singapore on Thursday, March 16, 2023.
According to a press release from the Presidential Secretariat, President Jokowi's entourage departed Jakarta on the Indonesian Presidential Aircraft.
President Jokowi will meet with Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Leaders' Retreat meeting, which will take place in Singapore from noon to this afternoon.
The Leaders' Retreat meeting is an annual meeting held by the President of Indonesia and the Prime Minister of Singapore. Last year the meeting was held in Bintan, Indonesia.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno LP. Marsudi, who has been in Singapore preparing for the President's arrival, stated that Singapore's investment in the development of Indonesia's new capital was a topic of discussion during this year's meeting.
The discussion will center on economic, digital, health, and renewable energy cooperation, according to Minister Retno in her written statement.
President Jokowi will depart Singapore this afternoon to conduct a working visit to South Kalimantan Province.
