Jakarta, InfoPublik – The House of Representatives (DPR) deputy speaker Fadli Zon asked all law enforcement agencies to investigate the motives behind the terror attacks in a number of locations in Indonesia.

"We must examine and observe the reason behind these terror acts," said Fadli Zon at the Parliament Building in Jakarta, Thursday (5/17).

He believed that law enforcement officers should reveal the motive to unfold the scenarios constructed by terrorist networks. In result, any further attacks could be prevented.

"I really hope these attacks are not parts of any foreign scenario to divide Indonesia," he said.

The earlier terror attacks, he suspected, were done by a group of people who deliberately intended to divide the nation. As a result, a religious group in Indonesia will become the scapegoat.

“It is a pity that the terror occurs in the peace time,” he concluded. (Translator: Erik Limantara)
