Jakarta, InfoPublik - Implementation of Matching and Research (Coklit) of the list of potential voters (DP4) conducted by the General Elections Commission (KPU) RI has exceeded the target.

"The total number of voters recorded is 11,292,585 which means it exceeded the target," said KPU Commissioner Viryan in a written statement on Sunday (28/1).

According to Viryan, 3,739,864 houses were recorded by Coklit with a total households amounted to 4,270,168.

Viryan said, the implementation of Coklit will run until 18 February 2018.


He acknowledged that coklit program requires a number of improvements, such as assigning the Voters Data Update Officer (PPDP) according to the regulation. "The community's response to Coklit program varies," he added.

Previously, KPU Chairman Arief Budiman said, simultaneous Coklit involves all stakeholders including 7 KPU commissioners, 155 provincial level commissioners, 1,905 regency/municipal commissioners, 27,820 sub-district election committee (PPK), 193.602 voting committee (PPS), and 385.791 PPDP.
