InfoPublik – The Ministry of Home Affairs, the Financial and Development Supervisory Board (BKPP), and the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will make the regional inspectorate an independent institution.

Minister of Home Affairs Tjahjo Kumolo said that he had reported to President Joko Widodo related to the plan to strengthen the Government’s Internal Supervisory Apparatus.

"Inspectors in the regions will immediately report to the Minister of Home Affairs related to state financial irregularities," said Minister of Home Affairs in his short message on Saturday (8/26).

He asserted that there will be an assistance process involving BPKP in the region.

He admitted that the role of regional inspectorate has not been optimized yet. "not to mention the recently allegations of corruption cases of village funds in Pamekasan District, which involves many parties including the head of the region and head of the inspectorate," he added.
