Home Minister Appeals Local Govts to Accelerate Development

Jakarta, InfoPublik – Home Minister Thahjo Kumolo appealed the local governments to accelerate the local development and people’s prosperity.

“Pancasila is the national foundation and the guidance in the development and political policy making for the President to the  neighborhood units (RT) and community units (RW). Everyone, if possible, should implement the principles of Pancasila,” said Home Minister in his affidavit, Saturday (6/3).

He also asked all elements of society to work together in building a common harmony.

Minister also said that Indonesia is a big nation, consisted ofvarious ethnicities, religions, and social classes. Therefore, he appealed the people to be able to understand and appreciate each other. 

In addition, he asserted that by being understanding and appreciating each other, the harmony of the citizens of various ethnicities, religions, social classes, interests, and political backgrounds could happen. 

“Indonesia has gained its independence for 71 years. Don’t let hate and dissent disintegrate us,” he concluded. (Translator: Erik Limantara)
