ICT Minister: CA-SER to achieve effective e-Government service

Jakarta, InfoPublik – Communications and Information Technology Ministry’s Informatics Applications (Aptika) Director General Semuel Abrijani Pangerapan, welcomed the conclusion of the National Certification Authority (CA) and Government Security Emergency Response (SER) System for E-Government projects funded by the Korean government through the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

"We expect this activity results can be useful in government’s electronic services," said Semuel Abrijani Pangerapan in Sari Pan Pacific Jakarta, Wednesday (6/22).

According to him, the cooperation with KOICA is one of the concrete measures taken by Indonesian and Korean governments in realizing effective and efficient e-Government. The cooperation is aimed to also improve the transparency and security of public services in addition to supporting cyber security development in national systems and electronic transactions practice.

Following the project, it is expected that the establishment of national digital certificates woild be realized. This is in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) No. 82 of 2012 on the Implementation of Electronic System and Transactions in Digital Financial Services.

"So far, we are still purchasing digital certificates from abroad. Therefore, we expect to establish a national digital certificates organizer," he said.(Translator: Wilda Stiana)
