Jakarta, InfoPublik - Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) head Thomas Lembong said the three-hour service program for energy and mineral resources infrastructure (ESDM3J) is an innovation to ease investors licensing process.

“This program is one of the government innovations to increase service quality to the current and future investors in the country. It is also a strong support for the Energy and Mineral Resources [ESDM] Ministry in developing the Central One-stop Integrated Service [PTSP],” Thomas said at the ESDM Three-hour Service Innovation Launching at the BKPM office in Jakarta on Monday (1/30).

He explained that the service is crucial for the Ministry to achieve this year’s Rp568 trillion investment realization target in ESDM sector.

“In the past five years, investment in energy and mineral resources reached 21 percent in Indonesia’s total investment. Thus, this service will assist investors to enter this sector,” he said.

According to BKPM’s 2012-2016 data, investment in this sector reached Rp490 trillion or 21 percent of the total realized inward investment.

This value comprised of electricity Rp229.4 trillion; coal mining Rp71.4 trillion; precious metals Rp67.4 trillion; oil and gas mining service Rp21.3 trillion; and other energy and mineral resources sector Rp61.7 trillion. (Translator: Filmon Warouw)
