Ministry of Health, Bappenas Sign MoU on Usage of Health Data

Jakarta, InfoPublik – Indonesia Ministry of Health and National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) have signed a memorandum of understanding on access and usage of health data in national development planning.

Health Ministry’s Bureau of Communication and Public Services in Jakarta, Tuesday (18/10), stated that the MoU was signed by Bappenas Head Bambang P.S. Brodjonegoro and Health Minister Nila F Moeloek.

The MoU signing aims to arrange the usage of survey data conducted by Health Ministry as supporting tools in development planning. The data are retrieved regularly and determines the conditions of an area and thus are able to determine a good targets in national and regional level.

As a follow-up of the MoU are data sharing which includes raw data and research data, and cooperation of both institutions in human resources field. In the near future, Bappenas will use Health Ministry’s research data in its planning process.

It is expected that with the MoU signing, the data of each Ministry or Institution can be best utilized through sharing of knowledge which eventually will support in making multi-sector planning. (Translator: Siti Chodijah)
