Denpasar – Education and Culture Ministry’s Directorate General of Culture collaborating with Indonesia Federation of International Dance Festivals (FIDAF) organized International Folk Dance Festival (IFDF). The event was held in Bali on 4-8 October  2016. This event is a part of the series of activities to support World Culture Forum 2016.

International Folk Dance Festival 2016 is a competition of traditional dances, followed by 14 countries from around the world, including Argentina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Uzbekistan, Thailand and Taiwan.

This was the 2nd IFDF after the same event was held in Jakarta in 2013. This 2nd IFDF differs from its previous event from the collaboration featured by participants with Indonesian dancers and choreographers in their dances. The collaboration dance will be performed at the WCF 2016 Gala Dinner.
