Jakarta, InfoPublik - President Joko Widodo expressed his support to the entire tax officers in handling all the tax cheats.
According to the President, the government and the authorities will not give the slightest tolerance to all perpetrators. "Everyone is treated in the same manner. Everyone should pay the tax, and if their payment is insufficiant, they have to pay the shortage.I give my full support to all officers here,” Jokowi said in the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) head office, Jakarta on Tuesday (29/3).
On that occasion, the President also gave appreciation for DGT’s human resources most of them are in the productive age and have good comprehension of theInformation Technology (IT).
"I am very pleased to hear that of the 37,900 employees, 18.900 are young, aged between 26 to 40 years old, having capability in IT,” he said.
He added that with such qualified human resources in the IT field, DGT has a great capability and is be able to build a perfect system to serve and control the flow of goods and others.
"Because whichever IT system that is used, human resources play important role in operating it. It means that the senior officials in DGT are driving the system,” He explained.
