Jakarta, InfoPublik – The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) Chief of General Staff, Vice Admiral Didit Herdiawan, and the Mayapada Group’s Vice President, Hendro Mulyono, opened a cheap bazaar event.

The bazaar took place at the Ahmad Yani Stadium parking area in TNI Headquarters, East Jakarta on Monday (2/22). It is symbolically opened by the handing over of sembako—principle commodities—packages to three military personnel from each TNI’s branch and a TNI civil servant serving in the headquarters.

Admiral Herdiawan explained that this event is simultaneously held with two other bazaars at the Indonesian Navy and Indonesian Air Force headquarters. These bazaars were held thanks to the support and help from the Mayapada Group. It is aimed at the TNI officers, soldiers, and civil servants. The sembako packages sold in the bazaar are 50 percent cheaper than the normal price.

“In this happy occasion, I, on the behalf of the TNI Commander-in-Chief, would like to thank the Mayapada Group for this event. Hopefully, this morning, all of the military personnel can enjoy the bazaar,” Admiral Herdiawan said.

This event was meant to help to fulfill the basic needs of TNI personnel and civil servants, by selling cheap sembako.

The next event will be held at the Indonesian Army Headquarters, Army's Strategic Reserve Command Headquarters, and Halim Perdana Kusuma Air Force Base. It will provide 16,000 sembako packages. The bazaar will be attended by the TNI’s Inspector General, Expert Staff Coordinator, and the Heads of Central Executive Agency. (Translator: Rina Alexandra)
