Health Minister: Pharmacist expected to involve in GeMa CerMat

Jakarta, InfoPublik – Pharmacists are expected to actively visit community through Family Approach program to prevent diseases.

"I urge pharmacists to join the Community Movement on Smart Drug Consumption [GeMa CerMat] as agents of change," Health Minister Nila F. Moeloek said at a forum carrying the theme Optimization of Pharmacist Role as Agent of Change in Jakarta, Wednesday (3/28).

The pharmacist-community close relation, Nila continued, could support the promotion of correct drug consumption. Pharmacist can be a partner for the community health center (Puskesmas) in optimizing pharmaceutical services for the public.

Minister Nila expects they conduct pharmaceutical practices professionally and responsibly for the patients in Pharmaceutical Care.

"Pharmacist should also ensure the availability of medicines and the quality of medical devices at health facilities," said Minister Nila. (Translator: Wilda Stiana)
