Jakarta,InfoPublik - The General Elections Commission (KPU) is drafting KPU Regulation (PKPU) on Voting and Vote Counting. It will regulate voters' eligibility to vote at the polling stations (TPS).

"PKPU also regulates the types of ballots, assistance for voters with disabilities, and follow-up voting and vote counting," KPU Commissioner Ilham Saputra said in Jakarta on Wednesday (8/29).

Ilham asserted that in general, the PKPU draft regulates the voting and and vote counting in the country and overseas.

"For domestic purposes, C1 forms must be scanned in each polling station to have the data inputted in our system. This vote counting information system is designed to mitigate election fraud," he explained.

Ilham also explained that for overseas voting and counting, KPU will coordinate with its 130 representatives.

"We will conduct early votings or early elections starting on 8 to 14 April 2019 in our 130 offshore representatives," he concluded. (Reporter: Eko Budiono) (Translator: Erik Limantara)
