Jakarta, InfoPublik – Bali Governor Wayan Koster invited all Balinese to rejoice at the 41st Bali Art Festival (PKB).
"Let us make the festival an event of the Balinese’s event, where everyone are joyful, united and embracing each other," Koster said, in a written statement on Sunday (6/16).
According to him, art and culture in Bali are like oxygen that can be inhaled anywhere, as a medium to understand the true Bali.
"Although the people are always dynamics, always remember that art and culture can unite us again. Art and culture is the best media for us to achieve that unity," he explained.
Koster further explained that this year’s festival will be in line with Bali's development program vision "Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali" which means “to realize the new era of Bali”. It is embodied in the use of traditional Balinese apparel, Balinese scripts and literature.
According to Kosner, involvement of local industry is encouraged by giving out free exhibition booths for local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Previously, President Joko Widodo had officially opened the 41st Bali Arts festival (PKB), marked by kulkul (Balinese "drum pavilion") beating.
