Jakarta, InfoPublik – Home Affairs Ministry is on its way to prepare Surakarta Keraton Palace as an international tourism object.

Home Affairs Minister Tjahlo Kumolo in a written statement on Monday (24/4) explained that President Joko Widodo has ordered the restoration of the palace.  As a follow up, Home Affairs Ministry has cooperated with Tourism Ministry, Public Works and Housing Ministry, and Education Ministry to restore the palace and make the cultural site an international tourism object.

According to Minister Tjahlo Kumolo, the working relationship between ministries and agencies has been established. " Surakarta Keraton  Palace will later be integrated with Yogyakarta, Sangiran, Borobudur Temple and Prambanan Temple," he said.
